He made his character completely believable and immensely moving, showing a dramatic range that many actors with greater experience could only hope to have. I'd love to see him in more leading roles, he's a cult figure waiting to happen.

I was expecting a really bad movie, but I was surprised. Clearly budget works against this movie. If they had much more money and professional actors this could be a really good slasher flick. It had strong character development (something most of new movies don't have) and nice story (rather slow at some parts) and the way they threat Monty in the movie really makes you feel for him.
Agreed. Nelson did a fine job as Monty; I felt genuinely sorry for the poor guy.
