Yes I found a lot of scenes in this movie hilarious and I know that was not the intention! The script was just awful though! It was like someone extremely angsty wrote it. It had so much melodrama! I couldn't believe how the girls were acting when they couldn't see each other for a week, and Kaye believing Emily wanted to break up (wtf?!). Also Emily was extremely possessive near the end. She gets pissed Kaye gets a job and that her mom won't let her move in with her (she is underage so it's not like Kaye has a say in the matter). Also Emily was a jerk to her mom and I honestly didn't blame the mom for slapping her (apparently she has a hard slap to cut Emily's lip like that!). Also David went from being a relateable character (I actually have a male friend this situation reminded me of with him) to completely insane! The car scene was just ridiculous and completely over-the-top! Also everytime Emily went on about Kaye being her princess I was thinking this is soooo cheesy! The girls at least had good chemistry though. I think that is the film's only saving grace, if the girls didn't work together then none of this film would work. At least I thought they were a believable couple. Also the ending was touching and pretty poignant. The bit with Emily I found overdramatic (her suicide attempt, and yes I know she's young and people act this way but she came across overdramatic the entire film), but I didn't feel that way about the bit with Kaye. That was just plain sad and really had a message, but aside from that, most of this film was not good.
Obviously this was done on a low budget, but even so, it was one of the worst films I've seen, which is a shame because the overall storyline is actually decent, it's just the execution of the entire film (direction, writing, acting) was really subpar so the film fell flat.
