Anyone see this yet?

Is it a serious dramatic film? I just read the plot summary and I think I had the entire film spoiled for me. Whoever wrote that is a tool!

No drama here, just straightup survival--the damned are back seeking beatbox revival

It's out tomorrow, July 18. I haven't seen it or heard about it before. It sounds good though.

that was quick

The netflix description says it has echoes of Heavenly Creatures, which intrigued me. I'll check it out eventually.

It kinda sucked, the story was a little predictable, but what really ruined it, was the bad filming skills plus the fact it was entirely shot with tv cameras, if not a portable camcorder, it broke the entire mood of the movie and that combined with the dialogue, made the movie sound fake and silly, they probally spend like half the budget renting that Mercedez, unless they borrowed from someone's mother, considering how low-budget it looked.

I can't really recommend this movie to anyone, considering this movie makes amateur filming look like hollywood work.

For the limited budget and less experienced actors, I will say the story is very strong. Some of the dialogue is awkward, and it has that "after-school special" feel to it. It did touch me emotionally though; I cried as well. The description on imdb does not ruin it. I'm hoping for the this movie to be redone with a bigger budget and better actors. Not to be done in a big-budget Hollywood style, but a good indie production.

Wow just got this from Netflix and watched it.......damn this movie sux so bad. Its not really the storyline per se, but the bad acting. I have watched alot of indie films and I can get past the cheap camera as long as their is a good storyline and good acting, but this movie was lacking both in spades. The storyline was eh, predictable and super cheeeeesy, but the acting all around was soooo bad. I laughed at parts that im sure werent meant for humor like when that d-bag guy who liked the main character starting freaking out and grabbing her arms in the car, I died laughing, and whenever the Emily girl would try and cry it looked so damn fake, I would die laughing......

Yes I found a lot of scenes in this movie hilarious and I know that was not the intention! The script was just awful though! It was like someone extremely angsty wrote it. It had so much melodrama! I couldn't believe how the girls were acting when they couldn't see each other for a week, and Kaye believing Emily wanted to break up (wtf?!). Also Emily was extremely possessive near the end. She gets pissed Kaye gets a job and that her mom won't let her move in with her (she is underage so it's not like Kaye has a say in the matter). Also Emily was a jerk to her mom and I honestly didn't blame the mom for slapping her (apparently she has a hard slap to cut Emily's lip like that!). Also David went from being a relateable character (I actually have a male friend this situation reminded me of with him) to completely insane! The car scene was just ridiculous and completely over-the-top! Also everytime Emily went on about Kaye being her princess I was thinking this is soooo cheesy! The girls at least had good chemistry though. I think that is the film's only saving grace, if the girls didn't work together then none of this film would work. At least I thought they were a believable couple. Also the ending was touching and pretty poignant. The bit with Emily I found overdramatic (her suicide attempt, and yes I know she's young and people act this way but she came across overdramatic the entire film), but I didn't feel that way about the bit with Kaye. That was just plain sad and really had a message, but aside from that, most of this film was not good.

Obviously this was done on a low budget, but even so, it was one of the worst films I've seen, which is a shame because the overall storyline is actually decent, it's just the execution of the entire film (direction, writing, acting) was really subpar so the film fell flat.
