If you watched the first two episodes last night, what did you think of the new season. I thought it was brilliant!

It was an improvement. I decided to give it a test run for the beginning of season 2. The timeslot has opened up some new potential for material, i noticed that the second episodes was rated M.
My previous possion on 'The Wedge' was despise. Not its 'less despising'.

Have to say it was pretty solid. Liked the pie sketch, the Christian's singing sketch, Grid girls, Footy Coach has got a lot of potential, the tattoo artist, Dailan's bogan character driving the red sports car and WPA. Thought the production values were terrible though. Looks like it was shot on a one chip home video camera. You'd think the network would make them do better than that. For example, look at the quality of Jamie's Kitchen, which is shot using lightweight video cameras, compared with The Wedge. Someone's scrimping on post production costs, I reckon. But all in all, I thought the content of ep 1 this time round was stronger than ep 1 last time round. Mind you, one million fewer viewers are tuning in. Ep 1, 2006 - 1.5 million. Ep 1, 2007 - 560,000. So what do I know?
How do you know the viewer total. I've been looking for that everywhere but I can't seem to find it.
shareOf 560,000 is correct then i can see why. Light advertising, a later time slot and the first seasopn wasn't much good so no wonder. I can't tune in next week because i'm on holidays for three weeks. If it is still on then i'll remember.

Got the figure of mediaspy.org which publishes ratings each morning. And that was confirmed by the Sydney Morning Herald.

The First Episode scored:587,000 viewers
The Second Episode: 562,000 viewers
Proves that the later you put on the harder it is to grab ratings. Seems like this board will take a turn this year.

Well, it musn't be that bad if a lot of the haters on this board have different views on the show now. It's rither my theory about late timeslots or your theory about youngsters(still, a lot of adults have to go to work and I'm a kid and I don't go to bed that early).

Come on mate. You've got to be joking as them for themselves. ScurryInertia was definitely on the board long before the second season was even announced. The other two despised last series. Plus those are the majority of the active haters on the board.

I didn't "despise" the last series and I have never been a Wedge "hater", I have just had a few criticisms. The first epsisode of the new series was pretty good. Can't speak for last night's though because I missed it.
sharei liked it, used to not care, now i like it. will be watching next week then maybe make up my mind then. much better stuff and i actually thought the shots looked better. the morgue sketch where the guy was still alive looked great and i really liked the way the hospital stuff was shot.
thought the hospital stuff was very very funny, even liked the corny car guy getting out of the car, the cop with the puppet, the wangtang granny, bono was good, and always had a soft spot for sandra even though the gstring line wasnt really that funny and they played it twice
