This means Ten has abandoned any hope they may have had that it would rate. As a consequence, they've decided they might as well bury it in a later timeslot where it's low ratings won't matter as much, and the ongoing embarrassment of its existence (which has been extremely damaging to Ten's reputation for comedy within the industry) won't be as noticeable, but it will still count towards their local content quota - which is the primary reason it got made in the first place.

In hindsight, the decision to go MA was a mistake. It means they can't now put it on in an early evening time slot, which is the only time it could have hoped to get a decent audience. The audience for the first series was primarily young children and their parents. That audience is mostly lost to them late on a sunday. If they'd realised that "going adult" means a little more than just being a bit more rude, it might have worked. If the HUMOUR was more adult, as in more sophisticated, they might have been able to capture some of that adult audience. But instead, they're stuck with something only an eight year old would find funny, in a timeslot eight year olds can't watch.
