This is to all those morons who themselves think, and also teach other people that Islam is some sort of a religious cult which teaches terrorism and all Muslims are terrorists, and all Muslims want to do is to fight and die, Or declare a holy war in order to wipe out Non-Muslims from the face of the earth.
CONGRATULATIONS, you are all playing into the hands of your media and most of all, your governments.

Think logically people. There are more than one and a half bullion Muslims in this world. And Muslims follow their religion more strictly than anyone else. So if Islam really teaches them terrorism, then how come the number of the so called terrorists whom the west is after, is so small that it's not even 1 percent of the entire Muslim population in the world which is close to 2 bullion?

And if all the Muslims just wanted to fight and die for religious reasons. Or even if they fight because they want to wipe out non-Muslims from the face of the earth, then how come you are still alive? How come 2 bullion suicide bombers, or snipers, or Kamakazis have not killed you yet? How come the non-Muslims are still there? Even if one muslims suicide bomber can kill 5 non-Muslims for such reasons, then all the non-Muslims can be wiped out easily with plenty of Muslims to spare.
Do you know that there are 14 million of those Christians living in Muslim countries right now, whose generations have been Christians since the dawn of Christianity without a break? And even apart from them, there are millions upon millions more in Muslim lands. If Islam really teaches the killing of Non-Muslims, then how come those Christians have remained there for more than 2000 years now? Or even for last 1400 years. How come they were not murdered even at that time when the Islamic empire was invincible. How come the places of worship of the non-Muslims were spared? How come they are still there?
Obviously because Islam condemns killing of human beings and teaches respect for Non-Muslims. In Islam, the killing of a human being(whether Muslim or Non-Muslims) is such a big crime, that the punishment of it is death. Even if a Muslim kills an innocent human being only because that Non-Muslim person belongs to an evil empire, will also considered as a crime. Because that person is not responsible for the actions of his leaders.
Most anti-Islamic people quote verses from the Quran to support their false claims. These verses are always taken out of context. For example, "When you see a Non-Muslims, Kill him". This is the most famous verse which is used by the Anti-Muslims. These people only read this particular part to support their claims and will never read it all. And they will never tell you that this verse was revealed just before a battle for self defence. And during that time, Muslims were strictly forbidden to kill even their enemies. Because they were forbidden to kill this verse was revealed to tell the Muslims that they are allowed to kill but only in the battlefield. The whole verse says, "When you see a Non-Muslim in battlefield, you are allowed to kill him, but if someone asks for mercy, then forgive, but don't just leave him there, escort him to a place of safety, so that he will be unharmed". Tell me people, which other religion can be so mercifull than Islam? But the Anti-Musilms demonize Islam all the time and all the ignorant people totally buy what they say. Because they don't want to bother looking for the answers themselves.
If you are reading this post, then go get a copy of the Quran and the Hadith. Read every verse with complete context and complete history. I challenge you that you will never be able to pick a single verse of the entire Quran which condones all those claims of the Anti-Islimic people, SPECIALLY THE WESTERN MEDIA AND GOVERNMENTS.
Killing in Islam is completely out of the question but self defense is allowed. Islam is the religion of such love, peace and mercy, that when the troops of Prophet Muhammad conquered Makkah, the Prophet, while entering Makkah, announced that not even a single tree inside Makkah shall be harmed because these are the orders given by Islam.

As far as Osama Bin Ladin is concerned, I'm not sure if he really is responsible for 9/11. I have good solid reasons to believe so, which I will tell you later. But even if he is, then it's not Islam's fault. And all the Americans only have their governments to thank for that. Because Osama's version of Islam and Jihad, was developed and taught to Osama and his disciples, by the west during the Afghan-Soviet war era.
Do you even know that the Americans openly helped Osama and Taliban against the Soviets? The Americans used to make Video tapes about Jihad with their own interpretations of what Jihad really is and what Muslims should do, and they used to show it to the young Muslims around the world who didn't have much religious knowledge. These videos were created to boil the blood of the Muslims in order to make them join the Jihad against the Soviets which was in the western interest. The Americans manipulated the ideas of Jihad and made all the adjustments for declaring killings of innocent people as legal in Islam, by manipulating the verses of Quran. Millions of muslims were shown these videos and eventually their blood was boiled and they ended up fighting the Soviets.
But when that fight ended, the same version of Jihad became a problem for the Americans themselves.
I shall also tell you the real meaning and concept of Jihad later on. But for now, I can only say that Jihad in no way means HOLY WAR. The Arabic word for Holy War is, "HARAB AL MUQADDASA" not Jihad. Go and look for this word "HARAB AL MUQASSA" in the entire Quran and the Hadith. You will never ever find this word there.

SO PLEASE PEOPLE STOP LISTENING TO THE ANTI-MUSLIMS SPECIALLY THE WESTERN MEDIA. GET A COPY OF THE QURAN AND READ IT YOURSELF WITH CONTEXT. YOU WILL UNDERSTAND THAT ISLAM IS "THE MOST UN-UNDERSTOOD RELIGION IN THE WORLD".

The media in the west arent worse or better than the media in the middle east. Muslims and arabs are some time demonised. But so is people from the west, and especially jews in the Arab-media and media in the islamic world, so stop being hypocrites.

Look at the world: where is all technological progress?

In all non-islamic countries! Wether its jewish, christian, hindu, buddhist or kunf-fu-tuistic countries.

If islam is so great, then why do people continue to flee from most islamic countries?
If islam is so great then why do people from the west not flee there?
Why do 90 % of all war involve muslims??

I did use to believe that Osama was responsible for 9/11, but not anymore. I have seen alot of evidence which goes against the theories of the American government. I'm not going to describe those things right here because that'll take alot of time. But even a man with common sense can tell that those acts could not have been carried out by such a group of people. Are you telling me that a bunch of college kids or a few middle aged men can just get into few planes, hijack them and then fly them into a city of the most powerful country in the world? A country which is the most advanced in terms of technology and army intelligence. A country which keeps an eye over the world for every millisecond. Wow, if it's that easy to attack America, then even a bunch of Elementry school or Junior high school should be able to do it, they only need few guns for a hijack. If it's that easy then how come other enemies of America haven't attacked it yet? How come there's only been one 9/11 in the history. You know, there are Anti-American governments in the world with far more advanced technology and resources than those of the so-called Al-Quida. If attacking America was that easy, then atleast one of these governments would have attacked.

Yes, jews as individuals are demonised sometimes in the Arab media. But nobody attacks their faith. Infact, their faith is very much respected by all Muslims. Since Judaism, Christianity and Islam are all Abrahamic faiths, both the Jews and the Christians are regarded as the fellow people of the book by the Muslims. Jews are criticised, but they are criticised as human beings, not as Jews. And Judaism is not even mentioned anywhere. Unlike the west. Jews wouldn't ever have be criticised if it wasn't for the atrocities that Israel has been committing for last 50 years against the Palestinians. I've been to Palestine myself. And I swear to God that the suffering of the Palestinians is real. Everyday the Israeli tanks march into the Muslim territories and either start shooting blindly, or the soldiers start to torture innocent people, even kids, and take some people back to Israel as prisoners and do more torture in jails. And also they throw bombs at innocent civilians like those in Lebonan and even in Palestine, for no reason but just to scare them. And then the White house says that "Israel has the right do whatever it wants in order to defend itself." Well, if this is how the Americans define the word defence(Killing of innocent human beings including babies for your own security) then Muslims should also have an open license to attack their enemies, shouldn't they? But less than one percent of Bullion and a half Muslims carry out such acts. Because the other 99.9 percent or so, know that killing of innocent people is wrong.

You surely don't know the Islamic history. If it wasn't for the Muslims, the west would never have made so much progress in science and technology. The dark ages of the west were the golden ages for the Muslims, they were the most technologically advanced people in the world untill the crusaders and the colonials came and plundered all their wealth and knowledge. The west was so backwards, that they didn't even know what a soap was. They used to pray to the bones of their saints to cure them while the Muslims were performing surgeries. It wasn't untill the late 1700s that the west started to come towards science. And colonialism played a huge part in the scientific advancement of Europe. Otherwise how can a continent which lived in poverty, darkness and disease for thousands of years, could so easily become so powerful in science in just two and a half centuries on its own. My main point is that, Muslims provided all the fundamentals for today's technology. If it wasn't for them, then we all would've still been centuries behind in science. But The west never gives any credit to the Muslims for anything. And even if they ever have to mentioned the name of any Muslim scientist, they Latinize it and make it sound like a western name. If you want the proof of everything, then go search on wiki or something. I'm sure they must have done massive censorship on this subject, but the subject still gotta be there.
Now the question is that, if Muslims have been so advanced in science throughout their history, then why are they not so advanced now? The answer is that western colonialism in the Muslim lands is not yet over. Now the west is not only present in the middle east, but they are also spreading chaos there. This is the main reason why Muslims are backwards today in science. Because of the west. The west is not letting peace prevail in the middle east, because if they do, then Muslims will prosper. Which is what the west doesn't want.

Yes, some Muslims are leaving their countries. The reason is not Islam. The reason is poverty. Alot of Muslims countries are still recovering from the plunders of colonial times. And they still have a long way to go, it can take even longer if the west keeps creating more chaos in the middle east. Otherwise, the Muslims have no problems with their faith. They practice their faith wherever they go. Infact, they even convert other people to their faith.
Moving to another country doesn't mean that you're running away from your faith. The Europeons move to America, and the Americans move to Europe, does it mean they run away from Christianity or Judaism? Or when the Chinese and Japanese move to the west, does it mean they are running away from Buddhism, Taoism, or Shintoism?

They don't need to flee there. Islam is the fastest growing religion in the west. Few days ago there were reports that the mayor of an American city accepted Islam, but does the faith tell him to leave his post and move to a Muslim country? No, it doesn't. Converting to Islam doesn't mean that you really have to move to the middle east. People can stay where they are and practice Islam.

Because all of those Muslim countries are the richest, in natural resources, specially in oil. The western countries need that oil to maintain their economies. The Americans specially needed to accelerate the process of oil plunder, because other really fast growing economies like China, were also approaching that oil. That's why the Americans have started these purposeless wars in the Muslim lands. If oil isn't the problem and Americans really are attacking Muslim lands to free the people from the burdan of Islam, then why do they never attack a country like Bangladesh, or any other Muslim country which lacks natural resources?

In the end, let ask you a question. If the western politics are so perfect, then how come so many people, including white people, are saying so much against it?

Dude you really believe what you are saying dont you, i really respect that, but here are some counter arguments for ya. Some of these may give the idea that im anti muslim which i am not, i just critic where i see fault, and the topic is Islam, not muslims who worship Islam (pls understand the difference before reading on) and i have tried to stay true to this more or less.

Ok a few responses, firstly Modern Jews and Christians religions are personal choices in western culture, AND they are entitled to leave their religion at any point. BOTH the Quran and muslim law in muslim countries have express passages against a muslim leaving Islam. Ive met tons of christians and jews and non of them has been a religious terroist bomber, and when christians and jews do conduct bombings (pls dont refer to CIA MI6 black ops here, im talking about documented terrorist bombings by groups such as miltia) every other christian and jew condems them and think they are crazy! Whereas i have mates and have talked to them that when 9/11 and 7/7 went off blokes in their school cheered and says its what we deserve!! Also in christianity and judaism matyrdom is not about dieing in battling unbelievers, so your whole argument about there are a billion muslims in the world and only a small percentage of them are considered terrorists is just rubbish. I could go on and on in this argument, such as there are millions and millions of americans but only a few are in the armed services so why is all of america seen as war loving??? Ahhh ... thats right using ur own arguments against u, isnt right is it sooooo il move on.

To still on this basic point of religious freedom and personal choice, there are no other religions like Islam for u to be comparing to, Islam is a theocracy, it is community, it is many many things. Most muslims i have talked to EVEN some of the 3rd generation ones (i live in U.K. so know quite a few, and am mates with quite a few as well, in fact i was room mates for a year in U.S. university both of us studying abroad with a birmington lad, and we had many many discussions late into the night on this) their loyalty is to their faith and islamic community OVER their nation of residence and in many cases birth. This naturally creates barriers between west and Islam EVERYWHERE that there are muslims, only a very very small percentage are integrated into western society and those are mostly the younger generations, which im glad to say is hope for us all!!

I will come back to this, but your point on the fact that there are many christians still alive, and that if the Quran taught suicide in name of Allah is gr8 than why dont the 1 billion muslims just go and kill us all. OK THAT IS THE SINGLE MOST IDIOTIC ARGUMENT I HAVE EVER HEARD!!!!!! The crusades which you obv still view as all the christian nations goin over to beat upon the poor innocent islamic nations (this is historically bullocks as is shown in many many sources not just this film Islamic Jihad has wiped out and claimed far far more of christian world that crusades ever have AND HAS NEVER BEEN APOLOGIZED FOR!!! Whereas most christians regard the crusades as evil and have apologized!! FFS HYPOCRAZY!!) still only a very small percentage of christians went on crusade which was an edict from the church for EVERYONE to crusade to the holy land! Firstly half of the Arabic knowledge during 'the golden age' of Islam, was brought in or stolen from other cultures, ie Persia, China, etc etc. Secondly the crusades only affect a very small portion of the arab world. But i do agree with u that during the colonial period this definately hampered development of Islamic nations. I also disagree with the guy who put this point forward. This isnt an argument of one up manship its just a critic and discussion of Islamic faith. Thats also why i disagree with the immagration argument leveled against you. The difference i will bring up is that most westerners though this isnt really shown by the still somewhat aggressive governments, are apologetic about colonism, whereas there is no such feeling for the 1000 years of Islamic colonism during the dark ages, some might say that maybe this had a huge affect on Europian development and may have been why we stayed in the dark ages so long after the collaspe of Roman empire. And lets face it 1000 years compared to around 100 years of western colonism after Ottoman empire isnt exaclty the same is it ol' boy?

Moving on yet again, I am not anti muslims, people can believe in my books what they want to believe, AS long as that belief doesnt impose itself upon mine. U will see above i say muslims, i mean modern WESTERNIZED muslims who like lots of christians dont really cherry pick from their religious books and live in harmony. There are lots of muslims like this, so called moderate muslims, but the fact is they arent being very good dedicated followers of islam, as to do this cherry picking is to critize the Quran that some parts are better than others, which in muslim law in muslim countries is a strict NO NO. I believe the reason why there are many educated muslims who are now moderate and they live predominantly in the west, is due to western influence, as in freedoms of thought, speech, ideas, and morality, all of things that dont really come up in the Quran. If that is modern Islam, the same basically as it is for modern Christianity than WOO HOO im all for it, and hopefully these concepts can be integrated to abogarate over fundamentalist Islam, that i believe is the hope for the future!

And excuse me but WTF are you talking about with anti muslim media??????? U cant basically say bad stuff against a religion or group of people without being branded a rascist Lowest of the low, it ticks me of, im not fecking racist but i should have the right to critisize things without that fecking brand. Ok now christians believe in new testament, and old, they believe in this guy Jesus. The crusades were weird because they used old testament ideas, which is why people get angry about them! Ok this guy Jesus spoke ONLY of peace and harmony, so have many other religious figure heads, such as the Buddha, and the Gurus of Hinduism. To my mind only Muslims and Sikhs (which is a tried almagemation of Hindu and Muslim beliefs) are the only ones whose religious figureheads were so bloodthirsty.

Btw the whole Islam is the fastest growing religion is bullocks mate. The growth rate is artifically high because the birth rate is so high in poorer Islamic countries, and plus it is hard to convert away from Islam. On earth at the moment there are still more christians being added to christianity that to Islam if you dont believe me check out these facts and figures.

As i said at the beginning of this discourse people can believe what they want to believe. Personally im Agnostic, i believe in a higher being but i dont think any religion has got it right, i think that some pretty great teachers like Jesus and Buddha have been around teaching some pretty gr8 ideas. I do not believe Mohammed was one of them, yes i have read the Quran an english translation and i can see some good points, but also some very bad ones. But then again i think the bible and some of the Sutras are open to critic as well, espically the bible man the difference between the old and new testament really needs explaining better. BUT the fact that MOST religions do cherry pick from their holy works and debate them, rather than Islam's blind and enforced belief is what is readily apparent to me. What chills me to the bone is that most fundamentalist christians are considered weird and outcasts, whereas the Islamic community closes ranks behind Islamic Fundamentalism to a far far greater degree.

After seeing the film, i'm torn between the notion that September 11 was an inside job perpetrated on the American people from inside sources and the notion that Islam is the most violent religion I have heard of. I won't get into the ligistics of the 9/11 facts that the majority of Americans live in ignorance to, instead I reside with the potentiality that the U.S. used the violent nature of Islam to preform these acts.
As far as the Western understanding of the word 'Jihad' is concerned, the film does cover that misperception. "Yes, Jihad does mean struggle, but so does Mein Kampf..."
You consistent argument is how come non-Muslims are still alive, when the entire premise of the film is that Westerners need to be aware of the nature of Islam and what might be simmering, simply waiting to happen.
With all due respect, I must ask with child-like curiosity: how do you remain faithful in your religion when it is animate in its cause to murder, cheat and lie? Judeo-Christians certainly preform these acts (we're all human here), but it is not condoned in their scipture that murder is a good thing to perpetuate upon non-belivers whose only offense is success and ignorance. Mohammad murdered hundreds and hundreds of people (Jews) in ONE incident and I fail to understand any appeal that would enthuse followers of the religion.

What exactly is violent about Islam? I've been saying this to everyone that if you want to judge a religion, don't judge it by the actions of its followers. Judge it by the scriptures. Because sometimes the followers themselves don't have the authentic knowledge of their religion. And I'm personally so sick of hypocrites like many people on this board blaming Islam for being violent just because the Quran contains some verses which are related to violence. If you want to demonize a religion for that, then demonize your own religion first. Even if you're an atheist, you should first demonize atheism. Many of the scriptures of world religions contains so much about violence, that the Quran doesn't even come close to them, instead after every verse related to violence, the Quran always advises its followers to try and solve all the problems peacefully. Read the other scriptures first and see how much violent verses they contain. The Christian and Jewish scriptures are a good example. And also, Hindus have full books which are about wars and fighting in the name of God. But I will not redicule any one of those religions. Because unlike some people I know that most of them talk about fighting for justice and truth, just like the Quran. Now if you want to attack me with the Al-Quida stuff then just know this, you have the western world to blame for that, mainly America. Becuase whether you like it or not, they are the creation of America and the entire west. They were mostly illeterate men who were picked up by the western world to fight in their proxy war against the Soviets. Read my first post and you'll know more about it. All these concepts of Holy War etc were created by the western world to brainwash those illiterate poor men. Oh and by the way, there is no concept of any Holy War in Islam. Just like I said above, Jihad doesn't mean Holy War. The Arabic word for Holy War is Harab-Al-Muqaddasa. You will never find this word anywhere in any Islamic text.

There's a huge difference. Jihad means to strive and to Struggle for good. But Mein Kampf means the Struggle of Hitler. If you go into the depth of the meaning of Jihad, then you will find that most people in this world are Jihadis. Like if you're earning your livelihood through hard work and honest means, then you are a Jihadi, because you're striving and struggling to eliminate evil means of earning livelihood. This is just one example. If you go into more depth, you'll know that not only you, but many people around you are all Jihadis.

And where exactly is it written that Muslims should Murder innocent humans? You can search the entire Quran, but you will never find any such verse anywhere. Unless if you're talking about those verses which deal with the defensive wars of that time. Then yes such verses are there but they are not pointed towards you. If you read about 20 verses before those, and 20 after, then you will know who are they talking about. You need to realize that whenever prophets came to this world, there was always opposition against them. And many of them had to fight to survive. Similarly, Prophet Muhammad and his men had to defend themselves against more than 360 Arab tribes, as well as the neighbouring countries like Persia, Syria and Byzentine. But Musilms were forbidden to take arms unless they were for self defense. So in those verses, Muslims were told that an army is coming to attack you and now you can fight them. But even in the battlefield, they had to follow strict rules. One of the rules is that, if your enemy asks for your forgiveness, then forgive him, but don't just let him go, rather escort him to a place of security and then come back and fight the others. I'm asking you, which other religion shows this much mercy?

Oh yes they do. And in a very hostile manner. In very very explicite words. Read those scriptures by yourself. I wouldn't like to go into details about them here. Becuase I don't want to make any religion look rediculous. That's not my purpose. I just want to bring people closer.

Give me just one example where he killed Hundreds of Hundreds of Jews. In most wars, Prophet Muhammad and his men were already outnumbered. Becuse they were very few in numbers and were fighting in self defense mostly. How can they kill Hundreds of Hundreds of men of the opposite army?

Look, i've been reading these LONG rants everyone is going on. And there is a lot of validity on both side. PEOPLE, the majority of people, without bringing race, religion, beliefs, etc..., on the whole, just want to be. If you need some sort of "all encompassing entity" to help give your life more meaning, then all the power to you. Whatever gets you through your day. No religion is better or worse than another. Why? Because we're all human. And the greatest emotion WE ALL share is Love. It's this that keeps us going.
The second most powerful is Greed/Anger. And any religious group or race will have radicals that think that harming others is the only answer. (too bad they can't take a step back to see fighting gets you nowhere, it's evident in the fact they are still fighting) It's the plight of mankind. Our tragic downfall.
Those that have power (that less than 1% ~ be it muslim, christian, or any other religion or government)do not want to give up that power, ever. And they will die for this reason. (or in the case of War ~ others will die for this reason.)
Mankind is spiralling out of control, all for the reason of being better than the next guy. My religion is better than yours. My race is better than yours. We have this, you don't. I want that, give it to me. and so on and on....
The only way to stop these people is to be yourself. Not to be like them. So not let fear control you. Stay true to your beliefs- whatever they might be. Never purposely hurt anyone. Do whatever is in your power to make YOU truly happy. If the whole world does this, there would be peace. There is no big answer, it comes in billions of small ones.
Just accept humans for whoever they are, whatever they practice. And just hope you don't run into that less than 1%. They stopped being human long ago.

I think this movie deals with Muslims like the OP very well. The movie says that Muslims are allowed to lie in order to protect their religion. What they say to us is different from what they say to each other. They are very busy telling the West that Islam is a peaceful religion, to blind us, but to each other they are screaming "Allahu Akbar!" every time a soldier is killed in Iraq or Afghanistan.

Don't be fooled by these evil people. Their religion commands them to kill all nonbelievers, PERIOD. It's RIGHT THERE in the Koran, and they believe in the Koran on a literal level. Give them half the chance and they will install Sharia law around the entire world and rob you of ALL your freedoms. Wake up before it is too late. They are the face of fascism in this generation.

What are you talking about, their taking literate CITATIONS from the Koran. It's literaly in there! On top of that they use historical references wich are entirely truthfull, I've looked it up, they are not lying. You just don't want the world to know what an evil thing the Islam realy is. That's why you lie to people about what the Koran says. But don't worry people will find out , and they will want nothing to do with Islam.
Don't talk about context, the violent verses in the Koran can't be seen in any other context then in it's violent nature.

I agree the Islam is the most Un-understood religion, becaus alot of people think it's a religion of peace, it is not, it is a totalary violent political ideoligy.

I have seen many people talk about the bias of doc on this board. Yes it is very biased..showing relatively no Islamic perspective. But so what? Documentaries and movies on the Holocaust are extremely bias, but no one complains about those? Well, of course that's because most people are aware that the Holocaust was a bad thing. Bias can be justified.

Everything, no matter how obvious/inherently evil/wrong it may be, can be viewed in a positive light. Here's an extremely convincing, and well articulated, essay showing that Adolf Hitler could have been eligible for a Nobel Peace Prize:

Islam is a scourge upon the earth and complete poison for any society.

Look at the Arab world pre-Islam: forerunners in medicine, science, mathematics.
Islam takes hold in the 6th century and it's been a virtual blackhole ever since.

If Islamic countries weren't given the technological advancements that the West pioneered they would not even exist in their current form.

The dumbass Saudis didn't even know they had oil under their feet until the 50's. Of course the West had to show them how to extract it.

Islam is a fascist, regressive, and most importantly, unproductive ideology. Westerners and other sane people around the globe need to band together and denounce it for what it is: stoneage barbarian nonsense.

The leaders of Islamic nations know this. That's why they live completely hedonistic, non-pious lives (huge compounds, hundreds of concubines, gold-dipped Mercedes, etc.) while keeping their people devout and ignorant with the brutal punishment of Islamic law.

My government AND the media tells me that islam is the religion of peace and that all the rape and murder the muslim immigrants commit to the native population is caused by our racism towards them. The major parties all bring in islamists that want to introduce sharia into our parliament. When a muslim or even gangs of muslims rape a native girl the first reaction of the ruling parties are to organize anti-racism manifestations "to stop anti-immigration opinions". Anyone who opens their mouth to criticize islam in any way is instantly labeled a racist.

Now, you are saying that I am being fooled by the media and government?
