Awful

Why base it loosely on the Alphabet murders if you're just going to create a fictional movie? And then they write a plot that is right out of every awful thriller you've ever seen and has more holes in it than the real case itself probably had.

Save your money and your time folks.

To be perfectly honest, hollywood has a way of turning even historical films into pure fiction, nothing to get upset about:D
I liked this movie, and Eliza was pretty solid.

just saw it and i have to agree with you. Plus the fact that Dushku can't act doesn't really help the film.

reply

It was ok, but cliché

reply

I liked Dushku on Tru Calling but their is good reason this didn't stay in theaters for a week. This movie was terrible. There will be some pervs on here excited that you see part of the stars breasts for about 1 second or something in a non sexual content but any of the crime dramas on TV has a lot better plots and characters.

This movie was hilariously bad. The schizophrenia angle started as something that might be interesting and turned into a badly acted joke. Did anyone who saw this movie think that Timothy Hutton actually was in this only as the crippled friend? Why even cast him when he stands out like a sore thumb? The big finale was horrible and completely predictable.

reply

Well, topless Eliza, it's not that bad :)

This movie is total garbage

I've just watched this movie and I'm annoyed, flabbergasted also have a massive headache. I know certain people in Hollywood will drag plots out of their asses to make a movie, but using the deaths of 3 children to fabricate a story, then try and turn the story in to a ghost thriller.

Hollywood just sinks lower sometimes. this is one of the most clichéd, inane stories I've watched recently, believe me because it's Christmas and I'm a saddo I've got a fair a mount of time on my hands to just sit watching movies.

I was hoping that this was going to be on the same line as Zodiac. Boy was I mislead, I even stopped myself from reading too much about it on here, though I looked into the "ACTUAL" case, so I was hoping for a half decent story, obviously because of the fact that three children were the victims in the case I felt that some relationship with the effect on families and how traumatic these cases are was going to be a main theme. NOOOO not at all and to make matters worse, the final fact statement at the end of the movie, what I mean what, please.

Right! now I've got that off my chest I can go take some paracetamol and rid myself of this film induced headache.

Based on a true story, bah

I thought the direction was BAD, the acting and story OK but poorly told. The "ghosts" were not needed at all and the whole thing was poorly paced and extremely frustrating. I really didn't care about the main woman nor the dead girls, they made sure of that by depicting them as evil looking, decomposing spectres. Within the first minute I was picking holes in it and didn't stop throughout, much to the vexation of my wife...

The 'ghosts' were the result of her schizophrenia, not real ghosts but the scary spectral look wasn't necessary. I was hoping to see a good serial killer movie but it's just another poorly made scary movie with some detective stuff.

reply

Oh I know the "ghosts" weren't real that's why I put the word "ghosts" in ironic quotation or scare marks. Single marks should of been used maybe, I don't know, I have always used the double marks.

Terrible movie. Gave It a 1/10, I can't believe how bad this was. Such a waste of time.
