Where is their son?

I havent seen all the episodes but so far there has been no mention of the whereabouts of Corey Feldmans son.

Where is he when all the filming is being done and why is he never mentioned?

Feldman doesn't believe that there is a place for children in the entertainment industry - so he had his son go with a nanny when they were filming.

hm... good idea, but they still never mention him

Wait, wait, wait. Children shouldn't be in the entertainment industry because my parents sucked at raising me as a normal kid, so I put my kid in the care of a nanny for three months or so for about 8 hours a day....yeah because that's totally normal.

Not attacking you. Just that idea seems flawed to me.

Perhaps they see a nanny as a lesser of two evils. Besides, I'm sure the kid was used to having a nanny long before the show started filming. Most children that have celebs for parents have nannies.

Putting their child in the care of a nanny doesn't make them bad parents. It's better than putting a child in day care...which is what MOST families have to do, when the parents are at work and have similar work schedules. So yeah, it IS "totally normal"

How is a daycare where children get use to interacting with each other and get ready for school worst than having a nanny. A nanny is a surrogate parent for when the parents don't have time to deal with their children just like daycare. Except in daycare there are other children they are regulated by the state and can't just do what they want (though we have all heard tales of horrible daycares at one time or another but we have also heard tales of baby shaking nannies) and call it nurturing.

I just don't think normalcy should be equated with something when it's just as outrageous as the latter.

That's a good point. In daycare a child can interact with other children, but a nanny can be more hands on with a child. Or may be necessary for certain lifestyles. I would speculate that a nanny would be a better choice for a celebrity as opposed to daycare. You have to remember celebs have crazy work schedules and often have to leave town, so they wouldn't be able to take their child to daycare every day.

I'm sure there are several advantages and disadvantages between using a nanny or daycare...I suppose it all comes down to personal preference and the life style that you live. Neither is necessarily better than the other. There are a lot of circumstances involved in childcare VS. lifestyle of the parents.

Almost a year later, but I am chiming in. So, to avoid daycare's should us parents who have to work actually quit work and go on welfare? Sure, why not let the state support our kids? Better than contributing to society and setting a good example for our kids all to avoid the horrible, awful daycares!!

Get over it people. Whether it is nannies, daycares or family there are times when people need help with the kids. Believe it or not, there are some great daycares out there. They are expensive, but my kid is worth it!

The show was scripted people, Corey Feldman admitted it on The Tom Green Show live, stating that most of the show was scripted, as well as the fights. Which explains why their son wasn't seen running around the house. A&E or whoever the creators/writers of the show are, did not feel it was necessary to include the son on the show, so they wrote him out of the "script". I just wish they would've written out Susie, as well, she was annoying as hell. Watching and listening to all the overreacting she did towards Haim's antics were agitating 'cause Haim wasn't really that problematic. She was portrayed as such a boring, one-dimensional, snobby, overly serious debbie downer throughout the entire series. Her calling Haim a 9 year old just shows that she's a boring person who's too uptight and overly serious and can't even have any fun. I know SO many people in my life that act like Corey (childishly funny, goofy, doesn't take everything so serious) and are also very responsible with good jobs and a family. Susie just grew up way too fast and acts like she's 60. I saw Haim as a fun guy who likes to joke around, but can also be serious at times. I've got many friends like Haim and I love to be around 'em, I couldn't last 10 minutes around Susie...it'd be like hangin' around a bunch of overly classy country club snobs.

Whoa, got a bit carried away on the Susie factor, guess she annoyed me that much. Anyway, that's why the son wasn't on the show, he wasn't needed or wanted as a character by whoever wrote/created the series. If it were an actual reality show and everything was legit...he'd have most likely been on the show since he IS part of their family.

You didn't get carried away, you're right. I despised her. I flipped the channel any time was focused on her. I truly believe she used every facet possible to get her face on tv, & if she is in real life in any way she was on the show, it's no wonder they're now divorced.
