it was always planned for NBC

thus the friends set! also, the WB references were due to the fact that the WB would be off the air by the time that this show premieres, which is the joke. the whole thing smells of viral marketing.

but the NBC picking it up, with the friends set, was just the deal breaker for believeability.

also, they say "and you call this must see tv?" thats another NBC reference.

it's pretty obvious to me that the NBC is trying to reverse engineer the kind of fan obession that shows like Family Guy and Futurama have. think about it people. the show is called NOBODY'S WATCHING and it makes constant reference to how much better it is than anything on TV. it plays with the gimmick of myspace through its concept and pretends to be an unaired pilot so that fans will become outraged and share it with their friends, thus building momentum for a midseason replacements.

also, all the studio's announce in variety when a pilot goes into production...but not such thing here, I looked. and furthermore, it's not even the right length for a pilot!

it's a pretty funny show, however, the gimmickry will probably kill it once it does make it to air.

well, actually the WB picked up "Twins" instead of this, so that's why it's not on tv.
