I managed to see this film while in Thailand and I enjoyed it very much. However, I had NO idea that there was a Part 2, as the box office girl told me that this movie lasts for 3 hours! It was subtitled in English, so that was a huge bonus.

I am now very interested in seeing part 2 and I even made inquries at the local markets for a boot copy, but no one had a copy of it. One seller even said,"No sell a boot leg copy of movie, because it a national Thai movie". I guess that's a good thing, that they want to protect their film industry, but he did have just about ever Hollywood Blockbuster movie under the sun for sale!

I am not sure how I can see the second part!

There actually are 3 parts. Part 2 already shown since mid February 2007. Part 3 is scheduled to be released around end of 2007.

both king Narasuan 1 and 2 are on vcd and dvd. and as you say, the thai's like to keep their film industry alive, so doing this also gives you a dvd with no english subs.

my only guess, when the last vol comes out, the wesern world will wait an extra 3 more years and some gimp of a director will buy this, hack it to peices and edit all the talking scenes and just leave you with the action.

same sort of thing happened with Syriothai [give or take the spelling]

of course, you could just except that it will never been shown in all its glory, without subs, and just buy the orignal DVD and watch and concentrate.
