More a Horror Film than a Queer Film

As a Gay guy and a Horror buff, I actually got more out of IN THE BLOOD as a horror film than a Gay film- works more as a scary movie (not actually scary though) than as a satisfying Queer flick. And I agree that the last ten minutes do bring the film's enjoyability down- although again, the ending works for a horror movie!
