The first movie was pretty good for a first movie, but I agree, this one is much better.

I'm sorry, my karma just ran over your dogma.

Indeed. Sword of Storms was good enough, but Blood & Iron was definitely better. It had a deeper storyline, Erzsebet made a much better villain than Thunder & Lightning, and it was simply more enjoyable to watch

I for one preferred Sword of Storms. It had a richer story, with Hellboy
running through a veritable "who's who & what's what" of Japanese
mythology, rather than a single vampire being controled by Hecate.
The underlying story of the samurai and his love was also
more meaningful than the one in this movie. More happening, more
interesting encounters and settings. Just my 2 cents.
The one thing that I enjoyed more was the fact that John Hurt
hade a large role. Gotta love him.

Yea this one seemed more mature and darker like the Hellboy live action.

I liked this film better than Sword of Storms. It seemed much closer to the "Myth Arc" of the main Hellboy plot rather than just being a side story.

Welcome to my Nightmare- Freddy Krueger

Agreed, though I enjoy both films quite a bit for what they are, and I'm still disappointed even 10 years later that we never got that third movie they promised. I think that if they had been given more of a chance, it would have been a fun, ongoing series where they released a new one every year or two.

And FURTHERMORE, this is my signature! SERIOUSLY! Did you think I was still talking about my point?
