Slow to get rolling, but worth it by the end. Better than i thought!

Sure has flaws; Scooter girl character was not at all believable (she wouldn't survive long in real life). Blond agent also not at all believable, she would never get that job (plus, the girl can't act, but is a great "asstress" so ok!). Giovanna character was interesting but under-developed. Opening with crying ghetto poopy baby was a little heavy-handed.

But the goods outweigh the uh Few!

Walken delivers heads and shoulders above all else; great character, well drawn, just awesome portrayal, and with the best lines of course. Browne was good. Preggers was good. Guy from Hackers is actually a decent actor. Funny guy from Transformers was believable as drive-by gangster. Few performance was solid.

Overall, good message, interesting delivery. Worth seeing; definitely better than the rating, IMO

I'm totally with you on almost every point. The blond agent was awful, by far the worst character. And she was completely miscast in that role. I've always thought Jesse Bradford was cute and assumed he would be a bigger star by this point. I thought he was underdeveloped as a character. But the movie overall was much better than I expected. Worth watching for sure.

Well, I basically waited 7 or 8 years for this film, and I felt disappointed. It felt like a waste of time, but I liked certain things about it. I enjoyed performances by Q'Orianka Kilcher, and Christopher Walken. And it was cool to see a black girl saving the world. That was a cool twist, and the film had a good ending.

Overall, it wasn't a bad film. I thought it was mediocre. It wasn't bad, it wasn't good, it was just mediocre. I gave it a 5/10.

I thought they did a good job with the budget they had. Just think if they would have had the cash to give every actor the time and editing Walken had and and extra mil or two for a decent soundtrack? This was a good movie, but people seem to rank by how much the budget was. If this movie had all the perks $80M can buy, endless takes, cgi, soundtrack, custom sets - they would defend it more. Problem is they complain about the $10m films, so they don't make them; we're stuck with either $100M blockbusters or $1M straight to streaming crap.
