shareFilm has only been out since Feb 2013. Also, look at the median 6.4 and average 7.0 which are much more reflective of this film... Imdb weighs certain critics votes higher for the final score. It's undebatable that people will give 1s and 2s much easier than they give 8s and 9s. Fact that this film has such a high number of 1s suggests to me that there's a strong negative reaction to the Jesus aspect of this film. Some take it as blasphemy. I didn't. I thought whole thing was refreshingly original. A very under-appreciated indie flick.

why did the director want to make something smart, and funny, and touching, and light but full of depth, with some drama but more smiles and laughs than tears, while making the viewer think about life and death? why a remake of Amelie with a stronger and better story, more conflict, less love and friendship and a whole lot less charm? And how could he think -even for a minute it could work?
