I wonder why she put her undergarments in a plastic bag at Jihah's apartment.
Maybe she thought the place was infested with bugs and didn't want to bring them home to her luxurious home.

I assumed it was to keep them from smelling like the other man's scent ...

He was smoking a lot, so I figured it was to keep them smelling fresh and not like cigarettes.

i had the feeling she wanted to keep it as clinical looking as possible (in the beginning)

I agree with noveltylibrary. I think was trying to use a cold clinical attitude towards the sex.

This was my take on it too. She wanted it to be as clinical and disconnected as possible.
