Valentine's Day vs. He's Just Not That Into You!

Which movie you like better?

01. Valentine's Day
02. He's Just Not That Into You

NOTE: Both films are totally different, but they have one thing in common, they have an ensemble cast (and Bradley Cooper)!

Valentine's was so much better.

the first thing i did when Valnetine's Day's credits rolled was turn to my friend and say "This was like He's Just Not That Into You.... but WAYYY better and with a hotter cast".

hahaha so def Valentines Day all the way

Valentine's Day all the way. He's Just Not That Into You used outdated Myspace jokes (who brings up Myspace as the new anything anymore?), and I didn't like the ensemble cast or whatever.

I enjoyed both movies thoroughly...but...I would have to go with Valentine's. Funnier, better cast (though I love Justin Long), etc.

Plus, as weird as this feels to say this, I fell in love with Ashton Kutcher's character. I wasn't even a fan of his acting until this movie.

Just my two cents. :)

HJNTIY definitely, not that it's anything special but Valentine's Day was just plain awful.

He's Just Not That Into You is a lot better than Valentines Day. Not saying they are any different but He's Just Not that into you had a lot better character development and connections then Valentine's Day. Valentines day was so choppy and all over the place. There were some times when I forgot about certain characters and then they appeared and I was just like whoa! Forgot about them.. haha. I also liked that in He's Just Not That Into You they showed both sides to each story. Like, we saw Jennifer Connelly and Bradley Cooper as a couple, even though Bradley Cooper is portrayed as the "bad guy" Jennifer Connelly has faults too. But with Jennifer Gardner and Patrick Dempsey, we see Patrick Dempsey for two scenes, and Jennifer Gardner the whole movie. Why did they even hire Patrick Dempsey lol. We need both sides to each character, that's what relationships are about. And Valentines Day was just silly and forgettable.

And if we also want to compare Valentines Day to Love Actually, I also think Love Actually was a billion times better but not for the obvious reasons. I think they should've started the movie weeks before Valentines Day. In this way, they could've stretched things out a bit, explained the storylines better so that we the viewers could understand what each couple was. You know, there's the old married couple, the teenage couple ready to have sex for the first time, the newly engaged couple, the singles, the overworked, the gay couple, a women and her child. But to have more time to explain these characters we would need less characters. Like we didn't need Anne Hathaway, Topher Grace, Queen Latifah, Taylor Swift, Taylor Lautner, George Lopez, Kathy Bates, or Patrick Dempsey. Their storylines/parts were so underused and pointless it was just a waste of screen time and didn't have any impact on any viewers, IMO. Personally the Ashton Kutcher storyline being the center because he was the flower shop made perfect sense, connecting to Jennifer Gardner, connecting to the kid, connecting to Julia Roberts, connecting to Bradley Cooper connecting to Eric Dane connecting to Jamie Foxx and Jessica Biel. And the older couple and Emma Roberts storyline was effective because it showed contrast in age and their versions of relationships.

But that's just my opinion. I liked this movie because of it's potential, but it honestly was very flawed, way too hollywood madeover and was a big movie star bonanza that I just can't take it seriously. As you can see, I can't remember any character's name that I have to say the actor's names. Lol that's not good.

It was made pretty clear Patrick was the cheating husband and Jennifer was left in the dark that he was married. That was his side of the story. End of story.
