Why Does New Year's Eve Seem to Have More Going For it?

Or is it just me?

Both movies have plots Love Boat and Fantasy Island would reject, but for some reason, I found New Year's Eve more bearable.

I'm more of a Christmas holiday person anyway, and found the absolute blandness of New Year's Eve, again, like the characters were all on Love Boat, to be so much more bearable after the holidays.

That phony idea of life and love made my blue collar job and existence look Heavenly.

I saw New Year's Eve in the theatres, just bought Valentine's Day on dvd and watched it, and it doesn't do a thing for me. I really don't know who is supposed to be with who or what they are doing.

NOw I'm watching NYE again and while not fond memories, I at least remember how it turns out. Don't recall a thing about Valentine's and just watched it yesterday.

Again, Valentine's isn't my holiday. I think I'd much rather prefer Valentine's be at the end of Halloween. That would make a brilliant transition between the three holidays that we miss going from Halloween to Thanksgiving. Just doesn't transfer.
