confused

Jennifer garner goes to the airport and when aston kutcher is chasing her, he runs off with no shoes on cos the man in front is taking so long taking all his stuff off.....but at the end when topher grace and the old guy are watching that film, That same man from the airport is there. Also did the cheating husband not actually go to san fransisco? Cos Jennifer garner 'waitressed' on him in a LA restaurant?......
