In the original version, in the scene where Aidan Quinn is painting, he gets the girl to take off her clothes and pose nude for him. Test audiences in the US found it "creepy," although European audiences were fine with it.

American's are hypocritical prudes in delusional self-denial about how "liberal" they are compared to other countries.

That's South America, Europe and Scandinavia laugh their asses off at you guys going hysterical over the concept of topless beaches for women and why Finnish nude family saunas would be like a world-ending Boogyman.

So I doubt it would have added anything to the movie for dolt Americans.

But I wish them well. :-)
