The prices those girls were paying were totally wrong. Where were they getting that kind of money????? $50 in 1963 is about $400 today. It's completely ridiculous that they would have that kind of money. Even if they did, they would never spend that much.

They could have at least tried to make it realistic and used proper amounts adjusted for inflation. She should have paid about $5 - that would be about $40. That's quite a bit of money for a kid in junior high.
