Seriously offended by the lack of diversity in the school?

I was astounded to find that in the entire school,I couldnt see a single black or asian or latino kid....Lets not start about the Transgender and queer students...

I cant believe how the director has whitewashed the entire school as if they represent the America...

Racist director and cast

It's sad that some people actually would feel this way.

In middle America in the 1950s it may have looked pretty close to this. That being said, they probably could have still made the film more racially diverse.

reply

The cast could have been more diverse but why should they need to make it so. If they cast the most eligible people and it turns out to be all white that shouldn't be a problem.
The Friday movie series and Babershop series are all black. Black is a minority so these movies intentionally excluded whites and others. I don't have an issue with this but it seems to be overlooked by social justice warriors.

Is this a troll post? I invoke Poe's law.

USA in the 50s was 90% White, so it's a statistical certainty that some schools would be pretty much 100% White. Oh, and since you're so 'colorblind' and consider all people the same, why do you hypocritically care about the 'skin color' of the cast so much?

And don't waste time reading this line, it's just my pointless signature.

The movie was set in the late 1950's-early 1960's, so it kind of connects to real life.
