This movie makes Space Odyssey look like a students project

Think about it really good for a moment...
You know it's true 

You ain't Sh!t until you smell some.

Yeah both were boring and pretentious as *beep*, but I learned one thing from each. From watching 2001 again I learned that Moon is better, and from Interstellar I learned that love is "quantifiable".

Supra you are a F ing moron. A student project, 2001 is almost 50 years old and the story is as good as Intersteller, sure no Great CGI, or the over rated Nolan directing. Just good old fashioned movie making with a director who is light years better than Nolan. Question, if Nolan let you suck his dick would you?

Your title is missing an apostrophe. If you mean a project of one student you should write, "student's project", if you mean a project of more than one student you should put the apostrophe at the end and write "students' project", the actual way you wrote the title is grammatically incorrect.

It's also a pretty silly statement, 2001 is generally regarded as a great work of Sci-Fi cinema, Interstellar may well also be regarded like this, but it does not diminish the merit of 2001 in any way.

Yes, it's an extremely naïve comment. 2001: A Space Odyssey is certainly the film I was thinking about whilst watching Interstellar. Ultimately, I came to the conclusion that the latter picture is the closest we're going to get today in terms of the scope, aesthetics, and subject matter of Kubrick's immortal take on science-fiction. The closest; not its equal... which is still one of the greatest compliments one could ever give a movie made and released in the early 21st century.

Funny enough, as much as I admire Kubrick's work, Space Odyssey is not my favorite movie at all. I love a lot about it, but I also dislike many things about it.

Anyway, with that said, if Space Odyssey is something that I don't like terribly, Interstellar is not even in the same world. It is like disliking French cuisine and comparing it to SPAM (the canned meat). In this case, French cuisine = Space Odyssey.

This movie owes so much to 'Deep Space Nine' that it should have been titled 'Star Trek: Interstellar'.

An opinion is not offensive just because you do not agree with it.
