I think main idea is good, but DIRECTOR of this movie is SO BAD...

no, she looked really realistic as a DETECTIVe,
that wasn't the problem.
but DIRECTOR's scenes
and photography...
really low budget...
and zooming some UNIMPORTANT details...etc...
Belas looks pretty elegant
and I see her in ANY ROLE.
she has good acting skils
and she is very beautiful woman.

Actually there are a LOT of these "B" level actors/actresses who are appearing in direct to TV/Movie channel movies. Another who's been appearing a lot recently is Justine Bateman, whose age really shows but I guess we all have to make a living.
Certainly very strange opinions here as far as I am concerned. This was an excellent mystery (way above the usual level for both television and regular movies) and it was a great part for Jennifer Beals. It's a lot better than flash dance but who knows what you look for when you watch films.
It would have made a great series..but unfortunately, the wrong people own the networks.
Well, low budget movie doesnt always is bad movie.
Just watch e.g. My name is Sarah and Twilight of God.
This movie could be better, the same on screenplay. But JB was good - she did as much as she could, I believe. Of course, I prefer "Out of line", which is much more better, as JB is not the only reason to watch it.
But it was interesting to see JB in another detective movie.
Just saw this. The only thing good about this movie was Jennifer Beals. I feel that they lucked out casting her and she was too good of an actress for this bad script. Also, if they had the budget to get JB, they could've forked out some more dollars to get her at least one more actor who could hold his/her ground with JB. Wasted opportunity of JB's talent.
