If this is people's idea of being a good father, I weep for our future! No child should ever be removed from the hspital without Dr permission or without the other parent knowing. What about HER rights? A REAL court would never grant this guy sole custody. he would be arrested.

shareA real mother would never just want her child to go to strangers if there was another option like the father taking custody of it. In the world we live in Matt is most definitly an example of a good father. One that is willing to take responsability for his child.
shareIn a real court, his parental rights would have been adjudicated. His stealing the baby would be looked on poorly, yet he still would almost without exception be granted an improvement period...that is if, in the real world, he hadn't already approached the court to holdup the adoption while paternity is determined.

It helped that she attempted to violate HIS parental rights by allowing another couple to adopt Luke. Not sure how that would have worked out since Matt's rights would have to be voluntarily terminated in order for the new father to adopt.
