this film was a hell of a ride!!!
thanks to the people behind this, when i thought i will never see another film like basket case, braindead or house, this gem came along.

i agree make the sequel to this, from one movie maker to another keep the 80s feel alive with gems like this film, roll on jack brooks 2

It's a great origin film- now we need an action packed follow-up. I haven't enjoyed a horror movie this much since I saw Feast. Jack's a great character, Robert Englund was perfect as the Professor and what a joy to see non-CGI effects.

A sequel is most definitely called for.

Seriously?

There's plenty of good recent films that could sit nicely with that lot.

Sexy Killer You'll Die For Her
Dance of the Dead
Boy Eats Girl
Tokyo Gore Police
Wild Zero
Last House in the Woods
My Name is Bruce
Black Sheep
Deadgirl
Dog Soldiers
Hostel
Isolation
Severence
Devil's Rejects
The Hazing
Bubba Hotep

Hell even Corpses, Evil Aliens and Hostel II.

This movie just had nothing to it! It took far to long for anything to happen the characters were all near completely undeveloped and the whole thing felt like a 45 minutes TV pilot stretched to 85 mins.

Hell yes! And make it one with puppets again, I've missed those.

I did an interview with the director just before the DVD release and he said they are working on a few projects, including ideas for a sequel to Jack Brooks, so fingers crossed we may get a second one sooner rather than later.

I'd love to see a sequel too. Maybe with the success of this film, the sequel will have a bigger budget and more of the same from the first film! I'd like to see it go a bit darker though..

...the only good part about this movie is that now they can do a real monster movie as the sequel. Now that the characters have been established, they can actually have something happen in the 2nd. This was a boring movie until the last 20 mins, but it did give a good set up for a sequel. Here's hoping they don't screw it up like they did on this one...

Great movie, great build up of character from Boy to Slayer. Every minute was awesome. I was sad it ended without a fight with the last monster but hopefully thats how the sequel opens.

Peace.
