A Bad Slither Copy and A Let Down.

This is just my opinion. The movie was okay, I was expecting him to fight like numerous monsters are something like that in different areas, the trailers looked great for movie, it then just went down hill after I got. He only killed really 3 monsters in the whole movie, rob eng, the one that killed his parents and the one eyed. After getting it and coming to the part with him about to fight the one eye and it just ends. I'm like wtf, that's it, where's the rest of the movie at.

Rob Eng monster reminded me a lot of the giant monster from slither. Did anyone else think that?

i thought it was a cool flick, but i agree that the monster slaying was very minimal.
i was kind of expecting it to go somewhere else after the school scene.

never saw 'slither'.

Its nothing like Slither... obviously you dont see many horror films. Having some similarish elements (Bob England Monster not an alien slug that mutates in tentacle monster; not telepathically linked to creatures it creates; creatures not zombie like; monsters can not talk; Monsters do not harvest, but kill their prey) does not make them the same, and certainly not a "knock off".

That fact that the films premise is completely different from Slither also illustrates that it is NOT a copy.

Get a clue.

I enjoyed the film (and Slither too). Just wished there was more slaying, but this is the "origin story", so hopefully future films will give us more slaying.

We have such sights to show you.

Sorry man. The director of this movie clearly loved slither and wanted to make something similar. Not story-wise, but style-wise. Unfortunately, he failed at making something at that quality. However, it was a pretty funny movie, as long as you're willing to not take it too seriously.

"Slither" wasn't exactly original itself. Watch cult-classic "Night Of The Creeps" from 1986. By the way, I loved "Slither."

Slither wasn't that original either cos' it reminded me of 'Critters' series of films.

QFT.

Slither is definitely a Night of the Creeps ripoff/homage, but this had a lot more too it. Like others here I see some Buffy, some Evil Dead, a little of this, a little of that. Yes, there's a guy who turns into a big fat monster and sits in the middle of the room, but that's about all Jack Brooks had in common with Slither.

Overall, I'd say it was a pretty damn good movie. I wish they had done a couple of things better (especially Jack Brook's transformation from Anger Problem to Monster Slayer), but I hope they make a sequel, and I don't usually say that about most horror B-movies.

I think that this was was fine. It had the right mix of comedy and action. I would not consider this a true horror film anyway. Hopefully they make some additions to this because there is potential here for a good series.
