'Imprint' to Screen at Top US Film Festival

South by Southwest has announced that Imprint, produced by Linn Productions and Chris Eyre, will screen at this year’s festival. The Austin, Texas festival takes place March 9-16. 110 features will screen at the international festival, which is one of the top Film Festivals held in the U.S.

“This year, we received a record number of submissions and thankfully that means the quality was higher than ever,” said SXSW Film festival producer Matt Dentler in a statement about this year’s approximately 3,100 submissions. “People will probably look for themes in the program, but no theme rings more true than just a great batch of films we’re eager to screen for our audiences. It's going to be a fun ride.”

Imprint, a Native American supernatural thriller, was shot at the 777 Ranch, Pine Ridge Indian reservation, and other Black Hills locations in spring and summer 2006. Michael Linn and Keith Davenport wrote the screenplay, Michael Linn directed, Marc Linn assistant directed, Chris Eyre and Carolyn Linn produced, and Tonantzin Carmelo (Into the West), Carla-Rae Holland, Michael Spears (Into the West), and Cory Brusseau star in the movie.
