Reviews - I DON'T CARE ABOUT SPOILERS!!!!

OK, I've seen the screencaps, seen the trailer, read the reviews. WILL SOMEONE ENLIGHTEN ME ABOUT THIS MOVIE? I'm pretty sure I get the gist, but everyone talks about it in such vielled terms, it's driving me crazy. I'm dying to see it, but apparently b/c I live on the East Coast, I won't get the chance unless they decide to distribute it in DVD.

So, can anyone tell me what this movie's REALLY about?? What happened to Shayla's brother? Is he dead or not? What does Whiteshirt have to do with anything? Did he kill her brother? What does Tom Gray Horse do - is he a medicine man or not? How does he help Shayla? Please, someone let me know, in PM's if you have to.
