The Narrator (spoiler)

I finally saw this and thought it was a great film.

My problem was, the "surprise" of who the narrator was, was no surprise to me. I figured it out on the train in the first scene.

Was it that easy for anyone else?

Was it suppose to be that easy?

There was really no other being that it could have been.

It wasn't really supposed to be a surprise. They never mention him by name in the book or the movie, but it's not very hard to figure out. You're supposed to be able to see the characters through his eyes, not be taken out of the story trying to figure out who it is.

Yeah, no surprise. It was obvious early on. However, death stating at the end that he is haunted by humans is quite the surprise. How do you like that? Death is nothing but a civil servant.
I'm surprised by so many not enjoying this film. I liked it.
