VERY similar: Firth's 'Black + White Cartoon about...'


I'm a David Firth fan and just watched Dumbland. Now you don't have to be a *ucking film student to notice the similarity between his Lynch and Firth's work.
I strongly assume that Firth was inspired by Lynch's Dumbland series when he did the following clips.

both works are absurd, avantgardistic, experimental and of course strongly surreal
both works are black & white
both works contain an aggressive creepy protagonist
both works contain creepy "stupid" children
both work's director's first name is David ( ;-) )

It's a rip-off, design-wise. Definitely a Lynch influence.

It tries too hard to be 'edgy' and 'weird' is my verdict.

Berries was better.
