He's lost four women he loved (His wife, two daughters and his new love) in under a year. I wouldn't be surprised if we returned to the story five minutes after the end, that he's hanged himself. He's also the one to blame for three of the departures.

I disagree that he's to blame for anything. He's guilty of cheating on his wife but that's it. If Anna had succeeded in her original plan, her father and Rachel would be dead and she'd be guilty of double homicide. Instead, she accidentally killed her mother and sister and intentionally killed Rachel.

^Hadn't he slept with the nurse at the family home, nothing would have happened. So, yes, he is to blame. He put everything in motion. And eventually looses everything.
Not to mention he exasserbated the situation by getting involved with said woman when his daughter came home. His comment of how it was his turn to be happy really pissed me off. I agree, he deserved everything that happened to him and then some.
