Why is College Just Like High School?

I like this movie, but it's odd that they made the college just like High School. Why didn't they just set it in high school? It would have made a little more sense.

Dude, college is just like high school; that's completely realistic.
Except that high schools don't have sororities or students living together without parents.

College isn't like High School at all. There isn't constant bullying between "jocks" and "nerds," and it isn't dominated by the popularity of one attractive, bitchy chick.

If this movie was set in HS it would be a lot more believable.

Well, yeah, real colleges aren't like that, with one small student group having such high priority over everything (for that matter, most real high schools aren't like that either). But it's hard to have much of a conflict that way, aside from the usual corrupt-administrator story.
Nobody ever complained about the Omegas having so much power & privilege in Animal House.

amen..

And I think it depends on which college you go to.. when you go to a public college that is super big, it isn't really like high school because there are just too many people but people still do like to stay in little "cliques", especial groups of asians stick together and so forth.. at least at my college.

I go to a university its like highschool 2.0. The greeks are popular and well known as well as the theater majors and jocks. Its a different kind of popularity. The difference is you choose to be around it or not.

idk if youve been livin under a rock but ppl in college r like ppl in high school. stuck up and know-it-alls. it's just a high education level. ive come to know adults r just as immature, bratty, social climbers just like teens. wehen i was younger about 3 years ago still in high school i couldnt wait to go to college and be around adults cuz i always thought they were so much better an had a lot going for them but it's nothing different. i know sum adults that want to think they r higher than teens but really they arent.

i am amazing..you should know this

One thing I learned is that life is like high school. Everything that happened in high school happens throughout life. Heck, the same behavior in high school starts way back in grade school.

Given the opportunity and the desire to play those roles, most people will.

Greek life IS just like high school.
