Facts about 'Sharp as Marbles'

As executive producer of "Sharp as Marbles" I would like to share with you some additional facts about our movie.

- "Sharp as Marbles" was made for approx. $200,000

- The movie was filmed in twelve days

- The website was paid for entirely by trading the old station wagon from the movie

- Filming was entirely shot within a ten kilometre range (all locations were donated - Thanks, we appreciated it!)

- Willow Video is an actual video store, opened twenty years ago by the writers of "Sharp as Marbles" (It is still in operation today)

- Mr. Hamburger was an actual hamburger stand (Great burgers!). Unfortunately, one month after filming, it was torn down, and is now a parking lot

- The film's diretor, John Banovich, is a spokesperson for MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Drivers), and has donated his time to filming several award winning commercials for them

- The "Sharp as Marbles" theme song was co-written by Adam Gregory (Albert from the movie) in between filming

Hey, I do kickass websites.

Any other producers out there want to trade for a car?

Message me and we'll work something out...

Here's another fact:

Three of the four elderly ladies from the bowling scene are actual members of the Willowbrook lanes bowling league. The movie guys handpicked them after watching them play in the league.

I know this because my grandma was one of them!

Loved the scenes with Tom and Theo from 'GOB'. Just wondering why none of their music was in the film?

Thanks.

We wanted to use a couple of their songs however we didnt have enough money left in our budget to do so.

Pretty good for a $200,000 budget...

...but whoever is responsible for casting Sean Roberts as "George" should stick to their day job! George was already an annoying character, and the over-acting did nothing to help.

How this guy continues to land lead roles is beyond me (He's even worse in the "Painkiller Jane" series).

Erik, I always wondered what happened to you, Glen and Steve. It's been years since I've seen you guys. This is Mike Van Boeyen, I used to frequent Willow Video in my youth with my friend Mike Lederer. I had no idea you wrote scripts. Anyways congratulations.
