Why private enterprises shouldn't run essential services

Isn't this solid proof that private companies with blank check would be less efficient than the government and way more prone to corruption. I can't believe all the lies spouted out about how much socialized medicine sucks. Do naysayers even realize how much money gets poured into marketing, disinformation campaigns and lobbying to taint all the statistics. We rank worse than all of the top countries, but we spend twice as much money. Maybe if all the money we pay for healthcare went towards healthcare instead of huge salaries, disinformation campaigns, lobbying, and marketing we could cover the 15 percent of our population that doesn't have healthcare, plus reduce the expense of healthcare. That would be an extra people paying towards actual healthcare instead of large salaries, lobbying and marketing. Really, why are we paying twice the amount if we don't have better statistics? Where is that money going?
