The 2nd island just opened and I started taking over more empires (shark's turf) and they're pi$$ing me off 'cause they attack my properties all the time. I guess that if I hire thugs to protect my empire at least I'll have a little more of time to get there and defend it right?? (example: i'm cruising somewhere near the airport and they're attacking me near the mall)
So how do you hire people for protection???

Anyways how do you give them good weapons?? I see some of my men have baseball bats against sharks who have subs..
How much does it cost to hire somebody or a full gang?? Lot sof times i see some of my places are totally unprotected with nobody around, and some others are like 2 or 3 guys outside with handguns and knifes..

If you do the Empire missions (enter your businesses and press up in front of one of the thugs), your gang will be better armed as your reputation raises.
I recommend the drug missions: they're interesting, relatively easy, and you only need to complete 6 missions to be a 'Smack Daddy' at which time your thugs should have machine guns. Keep in mind that they're always protecting your businesses. When you target and press up (hiring them) they will follow you and try to protect you as you raid other businesses or cause general mayhem.

in the empire missions whats a good way to always win. me i'm going after the hillbilly bikers and i go into raid their places and it takes forever cuz i have no clue how to destroy the Chopper except run into walls and vehicles. but once i do i go psychotic and waste them all with either the stubby or if i am ready to kill i'll use the machette. what are easy ways to take over empires like the bikers. and how do u beat the "Just Drive" mission when u go to the airport to pick up vance? i die when it goes to the cutscene when the car blows up and them Cholos try and wate u and lance. its pi$$ing me off. can ya help meh?
