So What does everyone think of this game so far?

I don't typically post, but this thread deserves some contribution.

I recently watched the video and was overall impressed with what I saw.

First the good.

Graphics: They are great and look very realistic. Explosions are very nice and the characters look believable, almost like a very good CGI cartoon. However, graphics are nothing more than eye candy, so they usually are the last thing I care about.

Sounds: Sound is a very important thing that many people ignore. We don't want Pong, we want Star Wars or Jurassic Park. From what I've heard in the video, I give it five stars.

Story: They've selected one of my least favorite battles in WWII history, but this, however, is a positive thing they have for the game. It adds a somber and dark quality to the story. I'll be intrigued by how they handle the story of Baker and his friends.

The new additions of going prone, whispering your commands and your guys working even better than in the original all sound great. Plus the fact that you are no longer disembodied arms will add all that much more in realism.

Now the negative.

The fact that the graphics will be so good is bad for those who'll have to upgrade their computers, just to play this thing, but thankfully it may be awhile before this game is ready, giving the less fortunate, (In other words, me.) a fair amount of time to update.

Now the iffy.

The omission of the compass sounds great, but also sounds problematic. The reason is that they may give you too much of a clue, or worse yet, too little of a clue of where to go and those who don't catch on may be left wandering the map aimlessly for far too long. However, I think they'll do just fine with that.

Clumsiness: Well, this sounds new and definitely sounds cool, but if you or your guys trip too often, then this might make a few gamers throw the CD at the nearest wall. Can you imagine if you were playing and suddenly, at the worst possible time you and half your team trips and die as a result??? Tripping can happen in real life, but should only happen at a minimum in-game.

Was it more so scipted or is the A.I. THAT smart/realistic? I mean, yeah, all of the A.I. Germans acted awesome, but was it more so scipted to be like that just to impress the masses? Only time and a demo will tell.

And now, the last thing I can think of... Bro-Mo as it has been coined.

I have serious doubts of it and it's overall relevance to the gameplay. I'd sure hate to have to constantly grab my friend if he kept getting knocked down, all the while it happening in slow-mo. This just sounds like a weird gimmick and I hope there's an off switch for it in the options menu.

Since we haven't played the game it's difficult to say. But from the videos and screens i've seen, the game looks awesome.
