Brothers in Arms storyline?

Has anybody here played the other games and payed attention to the story? I've played most of earned in blood and road to hill 30, but its been a while and i cant remember a lot of the details. Im excited for hell's highway, and i was just wondering if anybody was willing to post a summary of EiB and RtH30 for me and any newcomers to the series. I'd play them again myself, but i don't really have the time right now to go out and buy them again and play them by the time the next one comes out. thanks

The stories in the first two games where pretty simple really. In the first game The invasion of normandy begins and Baker jumps with his squad of paratroopers. The drop is a mess and most of his squad is seperated from baker, through the beggining of the game you accomplish historical missions that the 101st undertook.

In the beginning of the game you link up with Baker's childhood friend Risner who is commanding a stuart light tank. Tragically he is cut down by small arms fire after his tank is disabled by a anti tank rocket. More losses haunt baker as Allen and Garnett, one of his most liked members of his squad are tragically killed in a german ambush when the Leggett takes them on patrol during a mission. The squad blames Leggett for allen and garnetts deaths and is ostricized in the squad. Afterwards Baker suffers many more minor squad mates dying including a stuka bomb that knocks baker out and disembowels one of his squad members.

The final battle of the game is in the defense of carentan at Hill 30. After watching many more men in the platoon get killed, along with the guilt of feeling responsibility for allen and garnetts deaths Leggett snaps during the battle and challenges a tank with a pistol, begging it to kill him, the tank complies and kills Leggett. Before which Baker is knocked out by a mortar round, giving him a nice scar on his forehead, he wakes up in time to see leggett killed in front of him. Baker Manages to get back to his feet where he saves the day after being sent single handedly to link up with a couple of tanks to bring them back and repel the counter attack at hill 30.

During Earned in blood You play as Red, you're second in command during RTH30 who gets promoted to lead his own squad. Through his eyes you relive battles that you didn't see in the first game, as well as fighting a different skirmish at hill 30 and witnessing yourself Baker riding in with the tanks and saving the day. You Meet a paratrooper from the 82nd airborne who saves you on D-Day when he kills the infantryman that was about to gun you down when you land in a tree. This 82nd airborne soldier is named Doyle and he and Red form a strong friendship during the game. You get to meet your new squadmembers who you take control of after your promotion at hill 30. Mac, the platoon sergeant who ordered baker around in the first game is wounded by a bullet wound in his stomach and isn't seen after that.

After retaking carentan after the germans manage to recapture it after hill 30, you move onto baupte where you are to meet up with the 82nd and Doyle. While engaged in a firefight on a bridge a bullet strikes Red in his ringfinger, severing the tip and destroying The BAR he was using since D-Day. After this he meets up with Doyle, and Red agrees to help Doyle out in his objective of taking ST.Savour, which was a staging point for the capture of cherbourg. During the battle of St.Savour Doyle is unfortunately vaporized by a High explosive shell fired from a tank. The shockwave of the blast knocks you down as you see doyle erupt in a geyser of blood; One of your squadmates named paige runs to drag you to safety but is riddled by machine gun bullets. Adrenaline keeps him running though as he pulls you to safety and promptly dies of his wounds. Amid the disastrous consequences red succeeds in his objective and takes St.Savour. Red Honors doyle by wearing his 82nd airborne patch that was left behind when he was killed by the tank shell. After that Red sits down to talk with a man called Colonel Marshal, who he tells the after report of his experience in normandy (the whole story being told in flashback to Colonel Marshal).

thank you very much Iron Spear

Thank you so much for that, really helped. It's just been a while since I finished both games. St. Savour in Earned in Blood is frickin' intense, seeing Paige die like that was really powerful.

Thanks!
