Inconsistent environment

The gameplay in Hell's Highway is great, but by and large, both in interactive and graphical terms, it's often very inconsistent. For example, the environment is meant to be massively destructible, the game offering a radical new system, but this simply isn't true. It's possible to destroy sandbags and fences, and the occasional section of a house, but aside from that, everything is fixed. When you play as the tank commander, for example, you can't run over trees or plough through the environment. It all feels like false advertising.

Second, apparently the enemy try to outflank you, and adapt to your tactics, as well as help each other, but playing on veteran, I have not seen this to happen. Apparently if a German is wounded, his buddies will help him, but again, I haven't seen this. In fact, they can't be wounded; they're always killed. I don't know if this is to do with the 360 version that I have, but a lot of the promises that the developers made regarding the experience are just plain false.

It's still a very good game, very immersive, but it does lack these elements, and often does not feel like next-gen. The previous games felt fresher and as if they offered more in terms of experience, at least at the time.
