Universite Rene Descartes

I looked it up, and it's one of the successor universities of the reorganized Sorbonne. The characters don't seem to be studying in the Language Sciences part of it, because that seems to be a pretty straightforward program in languages and linguistics. I infer that they're in the Education Sciences part, and studying to become teachers. There doesn't seem to be such a thing as a degree in French Literature offered by this university. Somebody straighten me out on French higher education, please.
