I've not seen the Stepfather 2 or 3..but I heard they were awful.
I do like the original and the remake was surprisingly good

The Stepfather: 8/10 Great thriller, Terry O'Quinn really made this movie.
Stepfather 2: 6/10 Not bad, lacked the pace and suspense of the original.
Stepfather 3: 8/10 Different in tone when compared to the earlier films, this is a dumb, gory, but pretty fun B movie.
The Stepfather Remake: 3/10 As usual, remakes suck. Kinda boring, and really predictable. When compared to the original, this was pretty sad.
