absolute drivel (spoilers, though the ending is obvious anyway)

Easily the worst film I've seen this year, it was basically unwatchable. I knew it was going to be pretty patchy when the credits said "and Jon Tenney" and I thought, who? (apparently he is in a TV show called The Closer)

Apart from the opening scene, the whole thing was so mindlessly predictable it was completely pointless. With about half an hour to go, I thought what is the most unoriginal way for this to end? ok, how about that buzzsaw the stepfather's using for no reason coming into it somewhere? and then they could fight and he could go out the window? maybe he could escape and it could happen all over again? check on all three.

I could not believe they went with such a woeful final scene. Surely they could have at least tried some kind of twist. Maybe after the conversation in the hardware store, the stepfather hears someone behind him say "excuse me, can you tell me where the buzzsaws are?". He turns round and it's the teenage son who decks him and ties him up and calls the police to come and get him.

I gave it 3/10 which is very generous

She is a character who is at the very end. Can't explain who without giving away spoilers, but it is an extremely small role.

yeah i remember now she is the new victim after the escape of the step father.
thanks :))

There are spoilers in my post.

I totally agree, the movie had absolutely zero closure. And I'm not just talking about the bad guy's still alive at the end. You have to come to expect that from horror movies. In addition to that...

...The climatic ending was weak and way too short.

The ex and the sister dying were just mindless deaths to up the body count in the movie. The sister's death wasn't even discovered. Their deaths should have emotional affects on the main characters. Instead it was okay, you're dead, move along, and now you're dead move along.

And lasty, the ending wasn't really and ending it was a commerical break in a tv show. At least make them think they killed the guy. As a filmmaker how can anyone justify that ending? You knock the main character and villiam out and that's it? Films need a payoff, one last punch, one cheesy final line. Something!

I totally agree with you, 100%...

I liked it. Perhaps you should stop watching cheesy horror films and watch films that win lots of oscars instead. Then I won't have to read about you not liking cheesy horror movies and how you knew what was going to happen.

Even if you didn't know what was going to happen you'd just be moaning about something else. Go on, admit it.

You should get a job as a mindreader or read tarot cards or something.
