Am I supposed to find this guy David intimidating or scary in any way?
I'd love it if a dude as weak as Dylan Walsh would try to step up to me.....i'd whip his a s s in about 30 seconds.
shareDavid simply has to be the biggest pussy of a villain that I've ever seen in a movie. The way he kills Jay (who could've kicked his ass blindfolded) proves that, in that he has to sucker punch him with the crystal vase to get the upper hand on him.

Yep... It's not just me then. With a different actor the role could've been alot more sinister. His portrayal doesn't even come *close* to Terry O'Quinn's in the original film. I also didn't like the fact they changed genders and made the kid of the family a boy. Not only that but he was a muscular athletic kid!! Where is the threat?? They shoulv'e had Amber Heard play the daughter of the family instead.

Ted Bund, Jeffrey Dahmer, Ed Gein, and most serial killers aren't "scary" per se. But it's the fact they lore your dumb "macho" ass in and then cut out your tongue out and stuff your mothers intestines down your gullet all the while whistling Dixie. Fear people who could do absolutely unspeakable acts to you but at the same time come off as a pussy or extremely gentle. That's what makes them scary, the act not the front.

It's the fact he portrays himself so nice so kind.. that makes it freaky. Like the saying goes, the quiet ones are always the crazy ones. It's not the act, its like u said the front or facade he has. A person doesn't always have to show he's a killer, have muscles or what have u to be a killer. I think the movie was trying to say that some people you will never think that can pull stuff off like that.

well there was a slight height diffrence between the actors 5,10 against 6,1 and. as the bad guy David was not trying to win some fair fight he was trying to kill Jay
