Cliché moments

As much as I liked this game, it seemed to be a collection of cliché moments in Marvel continuity; scenes that have been milked for all their worth and then some. A few:

Uatu the Watcher "I have chosen to break my sacred vow of noninterference." The second he showed up, I KNEW he would say that. His only purpose in the Marvel U is to do just that, and it's the reason it's impossible to take him seriously as a character.

Deathbird going after the Shi'ar throne... again. And after she gets defeated, she gets away scott free... again. I swear, if Lilandra won't just put Deathbird down like a dog, she DESERVES to get dethroned.

Loki going after Asgard... see above.

Wolverine getting up in everyone's face for no reason. "Cool it, Boy Scout, I don't take orders from YOU!" For one thing, Cap seems to be one of the few people Logan has any respect for, so it's out of character. For another, Wolverine's "pissed off at EVERYONE" attitude was phased out a long time ago, as it just makes him look like he's PMSing. The writers found better ways of making him a badass without the constant temper tantrums.

But after watching the cutscenes, now I understand why nobody wants to hang out with Spider-Man. Nothing worse than a class clown who isn't funny.

What cliché moments or characterizations did you notice?

Jean Grey turns evil/dies/turns evil and as more events happened after that ending sequence obviously she dies again

I did find them rather cliche, but I liked that it made me think of the comics a lot, so I was pretty satisfied.
