Couldn't get into this when it was on. Just re-watched it....

What a f--king amazing show. I remember I tried so hard to watch it back when it was on and could not get into it no matter how hard I tried. Been on a Bruce Greenwood kick and just watched all ten episodes. It kind of blew my mind. Of all the worlds/families that HBO has introduced us to, the Yost family was probably the most captivating one. Damn it, I wish this show was still on!!

Few observations:

That shot of John and Shaun surfing in from wherever in the beginning of episode ten was breathtaking and pretty much sums up the awesomeness of the show.

Austin Nichols was incredible in this.

The song/montage in the opening credits got more and more spectacular every time I watched it.

this is truly one of the shows where you can say, The more you watch it the more things you'll pick up on every time. It's layered so well that you see it differently each time

One of my favorite shows of the 2000's. Can't believe that it only had a short season. Showtime would have at least given it a second season.
