To what extent are these events true? Does this really happen in these communities?

Yup. All true. The characters are fictional, but the story about the communities and everything that you see going on in them...that's all accurate.

You want the truth and facts, read the book "The Secret Lives of Saints" its all about the sects in USA and Canada.
