In my opinion, this is the wrong tittle. William shatner only had a verry small pieace to do with "Star Trek".

Indeed, I remember this being called "How Star Trek changed the world" on European Discovery Channel.

Paramount wouldn't give permission to have "Star Trek" in the title in the US release.

Well its taken from the Shatner book called "Im Working On That" which is all about Star Treks influence on technology, thus the Shatner connection. Most of the stuff covered in the book was covered in this project, so the title had more to do with it being Shatners idea to begin with than a literal meaning in the title.
