An official DVD release?

An online friend of mine that lives in New York was telling me about this film she recently got to see it, and said It was excellent and that I would love it. So of course I looked it up on imdb.com. But I see that there was an offer for a free copy of the dvd for a limited time. But what I am wondering is that if it's going to get an official release with a distrubitor or something in the near future.
