Problems With PS2 Game

Okay, so I've only played my PS2 game once... that was when I got it back at Christmas. I beat it in two days. 1 month later, after it's been sitting in it's nice case on my dresser, I put in again to play it. So, the first time it stopped every once in awhile while I was playing- it was made in part by Rainbow Studios, who also made Splashdown. I'm guessing since Splashdown does that, then Cars will keep doing that.

Well, when I put it in to play the second time, I restart the game just to do it over again. I go to load something- and zing, it takes 12 whole hours to load. I turned off the TV, then the next day, it had just finished loading.

I went to retry it again today, it started loading, but when 4 minutes had gone by, and after I heard the PS2 making peculiar noises, I stopped it.

Just to tell you- the game had been in the case since I took it out at Christmas. Right after the 12 hour load, I put it back in the case, which is where it has been since. For unexplained reasons, it has scratches around the edges.

I'm just wondering- have you guys had any problems with your Cars game, especially on the PS2? Cause, the only games I've had problems with- Cars and Splashdown- are made by Rainbow Studios... no other games of ours have any problems...
