I actually like this a lot more than the source material it came from...
...maybe because it had more down to earth characters and a much more emotional story. I tried reading the original comic and somehow I couldn't get into it.

Women gain power, so you have to murder them for having it. What. The. Frak ???
The show however is weird. For example, no american/european show would display an old man who's into porn and running after young women as a sympathetic character.
This weirdness and strangeness is what makes this show interesting to watch.
