Question: Loud music in the workshop

Making them listen to these loud songs was probably the nazis' idea, but what was the purpose of it?

It was opera, which many people believe to be fine music. It is to keep them inspired as they work.

Actually, it reminded me of a torture called "music box" I saw in another movie about nazi criminals: they made people listen to unbelievably loud music, 24 hours a day. Obviously, the purpose was totally different.

...By the way: kids in detention are forced into listening to Frank Sinatra

I guess that's what makes them so culture conscious afterwards. 8-)

The music was also used to drown out the noise of the more unlucky Jews outside getting tortured and killed.
