Personally, I wasn't the greatest fan of these new russian movies (don't take me wrong, I'm Russian myself and love the country to death), but this was amazing! It's one of my favourite films along with Night Watch and Day Watch. If all the russian films will be so good, it will beat Hollywood in a few years!

This is surely a very good movie, I'm from this city originally and they did give the viewers to feel the inside of the city (former spirit, I should say, not really today's one), but I'm sorry - Day Watch and Night Watch ad CRAP, both!!! I can't believe he is making a 3rd one soon... You could CLEARLY see that it was the same directory in "Wanted". Such a dumb movie... bummer :((
shareIn general I think present-day Russian cinema is nothing compared to Soviet cinema, I think the drive for capitalist profit has done a lot of damage to what used to be probably the best film industry in the world. But this was a very pleasant and fun movie that I can never get tired of. One of those movies that I can pop in when i'm just in the mood to watch something easy and lighthearted.
